Welcome to GOAT Lab. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the game at playgoatlab.com (the "Service"), operated by Momentum Apps LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. The Service
GOAT Lab is a free, browser-based game for entertainment purposes. You may play it for your own personal, non-commercial enjoyment. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice.
2. Eligibility (13+)
You must be at least 13 years old to use GOAT Lab, and to sign in or appear on the leaderboard. By using the Service you represent that you are 13 or older. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
3. Accounts and the leaderboard
Signing in with Google is optional and not required to play. If you sign in, you are responsible for activity under your account. If you complete the Daily Challenge while signed in, your display name and score are submitted to a public leaderboard visible to all users — do not sign in if you do not want that shown publicly. You agree not to submit offensive display names or to manipulate, falsify, or cheat leaderboard scores. We may remove entries, names, or accounts that violate these Terms, and you may request deletion of your account and data at any time by emailing ethan@momentumapps.net.
4. Not affiliated with the NBA
GOAT Lab is an independent, fan-made game. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or associated with the National Basketball Association (NBA), its teams, or any player. All team names and player names are the property of their respective owners and are referenced for identification, commentary, and informational purposes only. Player ratings reflect our own subjective opinions and are not official statistics.
5. Intellectual property
The GOAT Lab name, logo, original design, code, and game mechanics are owned by Momentum Apps LLC. You may not copy, redistribute, sell, or create derivative works from the Service without our written permission. Third-party names and marks referenced in the game remain the property of their respective owners.
6. Voluntary support / tips
The Service is free to play. You may optionally choose to support us through the "Support Us" link, which is processed by a third-party platform (Ko-fi). Tips are voluntary contributions to the creator and do not purchase, unlock, or guarantee any feature, content, or service. Tips are generally non-refundable except as required by the payment platform or applicable law.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to: (a) use the Service for any unlawful purpose; (b) attempt to disrupt, attack, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure; (c) scrape, republish, or commercially exploit the Service or its content; or (d) misrepresent the Service as official or NBA-affiliated.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability. Player ratings and game content are provided for entertainment and may contain errors or omissions.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Momentum Apps LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months before the claim.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, and the "Last updated" date above will be revised. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Momentum Apps LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
